View Sample ReportYes, you can submit removal requests yourself. Each of the 210+ broker sites we check has a different process — different forms, CAPTCHAs, verification emails, phone calls, 45-day CCPA deadlines to track. Most people spend 4-6 hours per site and give up after the second form. Our system sends every CCPA deletion request within minutes, solves CAPTCHAs automatically, handles verification emails, and follows up when brokers don't comply within 30 days — with auto-escalation at 45 and 60 days including AG complaint generation.
Average improvement: 40+ points after automated removal
Action Plan outcome guarantee: if we don't successfully remove at least 60% of your data-broker listings within 60 days, we refund the full $99. Mugshot, court, and news-media removals depend on legal processes outside our control and are tracked separately — see FAQ for details. Heads-up on re-listings: data brokers may re-list your information within 3-6 months. Monthly Monitor ($19/mo) catches re-listings and automatically removes them again.
Re-scan for free every 30 days to track your progress. Need results sooner? Immediate re-scan for $9.

Psychology graduate and published researcher (University of New Mexico, summa cum laude). My research at the MATEO Lab focused on how people change behavior under pressure. I built FixMyRecord because I saw a gap: the tools that help people move forward online are either too expensive or too complicated. Everyone deserves a clean start, and the internet shouldn't be the thing standing in the way.

Most data broker removals process within 1-4 weeks. Some sites take longer. With the $19/month monitoring plan, we track progress and re-submit if needed.
We refund the full $99 Action Plan fee if we don't successfully remove at least 60% of your removable data-broker listings within 60 days of purchase. "Removable" means listings on broker sites where a working CCPA / opt-out / privacy-form path exists; we exclude listings on sites where the broker has shut down their removal process or where your specific record-type isn't eligible. Mugshot sites, court records, and news-media URLs are not covered by the outcome guarantee because their removal depends on legal processes (state expungement filings, §230(e) demands, court orders) that take longer than 60 days and aren't fully under our control — we still pursue them, with screenshot proof, but we won't promise an outcome we can't deliver. You can request the refund any time after day 60 by emailing support@fixmyrecord.io with your audit ID; we verify the removal rate against our records and refund within 7 business days.
California's Delete Request and Opt-out Platform (DROP) launched in 2026 and is free for California residents. For the data-broker layer alone, it's a strong option and we recommend you check it out. FMR's added value for California users is the layers DROP doesn't cover: mugshot sites, court records, expungement-driven removals, and ongoing monitoring across Google + the major AI platforms. Our scan still surfaces broker listings so you can see what's there — but if brokers are your only concern and you live in CA, DROP is a sensible starting point.
Expunged and dismissed records often still appear on third-party sites. Our scan finds these and the Action Plan includes dispute letters citing your state's expungement laws.
We use encrypted connections and don't store your personal information beyond what's needed to run your scan and deliver your report.
